Nutritional Recommendations for Pain Relief

Relief for Musculoskeletal Pain: Musculoskeletal Pain Nutritional Recommendations  from John W Jones, MD, MPH

Reviewed June 2016

Our Best Pain Relieving Products are:
Opti-MSM Lotion Plus - besides being a really nice  rubbing and Massage lotion, it contains MSM, Arnica, Boswellia (Frankincense) and essential oils such as Ardenia Tahitensis Flowers (Monoi de Tahiti), Citrus Tangerina (Tangerine) Oil, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint ) Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil.   Maybe that's why it smells so good!  We keep it in the kitchen for burns & bites, but it works well on all parts of the body.  It is particularly effective for back aches, neck pain, knee pain and other joint pain.
Ultra Omega-Linic - What does it stand for, you ask?  Optimal (and Essential) PREformed, PolyUnsaturated Fatty Acids from Wild Alaskan Salmon, other fish oil concentrate and Black Currant Seed Oil.  Everyone who has tried it has a better response than from fish oil alone!  It is a superb anti inflammatory agent.  It is a great help for all kinds of joint pain and back pain.  Side effects?  Heart Health, Bone Health, Improved Vision.  Reports of Shiny, manageable Hair, Glowing Skin.

Yucca -  MUCH better for pain relief than NSAIDs.  It has major health benefits and NO DRUG adverse side effects.

The Musculoskeletal Pain link above has a number of additional recommendation.  For instance, Dr Jones always recommends a very good multi, such as Ultra Vites, to ensure that all the nutrients are available for metabolic processes.  In high pain/stress situations the body's nutritional needs increase dramatically.

There are also Calcium and Ultra Magnesium (for Spasm), as well as Vitamin D products.  In addition, consider Inflammease for inflammation and MSM 750 for higher levels of pain relief

L-Arginine and/or L-Lysine  stimulate the pituitary gland to produce human growth hormone.  It seems odd, but arginine can help you sleep.  PhytoCalm can also be considered for sleep because of its calming effects.   As you know, lack of sleep can be a major problem for those in pain.  Another product which can be considered for sleep is 5HTP Plus - when an SSRI drug is not being taken.  It is available as both 50 mg and 100 mg tablets.

Consider Vitamin E when using high levels of Essential Fatty Acids, and Vitamin C to reconstitute Vitamin E (among its many other benefits). Both are powerful anti-oxidants.

The use of Ultra-Monolaurin is recommended because pathogenic viruses and bacteria could be associated with many kinds of musculoskeletal problems.  Side effects?  Monolaurin use is associated with Improved brain function, weight loss, and more energy.
